Fantastic news to start the week:
Sky Creative News Design has been nominated for 5 pieces of work at the prestigious Promax World Excellence Design Awards.
This is particularly encouraging since everything we entered received a nomination; 5 entries, 5 finalists.
3 of our entries are for news information design. What this means, is that the industry considers us to be the world leader in information design; no mean feat given the competition
Always good to remember; we generate work for the client and viewer first and the kudos second, but we should celebrate achievement when deserved.

TO BUSINESS:
I want to concentrate this week on the output of a single day. On Wednesday 8th May, Sir Alex Ferguson resigned as manager of Manchester United and our reaction was all encompassing.
The main achievement was the desire and ability of the Digital team to drop everything and generate a huge range of work across iPad, mobile and Online.
Not only was this consistent with all of the on-air work, but also led much of the output. Assets were generated with all teams playing their part and an approach which had central guidance.
Commissioning was tied together and there was great communication.
All of this went live an digital platforms on the day – a tremendous achievement.
